Figure it out Fridays
Stop Motion Animation
This is our Smarties commercial that we made on October 4th. It was made by me, Alex, Hannah, and Alaina. We took around 150 pictures to make a 30 second video. Before we started taking pictures of the smarties we first story boarded our ideas, but when we started to take pictures we changed some of the ideas and added others. When we were moving the smarties off the paper we saw it looked like a rocket ship so we added a transformation to a rocket ship. After we had all of the pictures taken we used power director to put the pictures together shortening the length of each one and repeating some of the pictures. It was a lot of fun making this but by the end the song was getting annoying.
Interacting with Text and Pictures
For figure it out Friday on October 18, i was in a group with Dan, Dan, and Dan. We had to make a video and add text or pictures in that someone acting would interact with. Mr. Blyleven provided us with a choice of four different scripts to use. It took us many tries to get Daniel to say the script without messing up. We used power director to add pictures and text in the video. We also added motions to some of the pictures. It helped us learn more about what we can do with power director and it was also fun to make. I think the video turned out pretty well.
Drawn Stop Motion Animation
This was made on December 18 2013. I only drew four different pictures and repeated them many times. Using Power Director I shortened the length of each picture. If I had more time I would have made the bird move across the screen. I looked online for the different positions the wings would be in to make the bird look like its flying. Each picture I drew and I traced the parts of the bird that were going to stay the same throughout the whole time.
Bridge Day
This video was made by Daniel, Daniel, Daniel, Alex, and me. This was what we did for the first Comm tech bridge day. We were learning how to do forced perspective. It was really hard to get Daniels hands (the hands in the front) to line up with Daniel, Alex, and Me (in the back). This was the only bridge day I was here for and it was really fun.
Inkscape
This is a penguin I made using Inkscape on September 4th. The goal of making this was to explore inkscape using layers, paths and nodes. We used a tutorial from Youtube. When making this penguin I used lots of circles and gradients. This is one of the first things I made in this class and gave me the basics to do the graphic design module.
Research Piece
I wrote this over the course of a few days, January 9-12. I could have done a better job but I wanted to get it done.
